On site we offer you the opportunity to purchase a Hamburg Card. With the Hamburg Card you can use public transport in Hamburg at a reduced rate. You will also receive discounts at many of Hamburg's attractions.

We are pleased to announce that two charging stations with a total of 4 charging points are now available for you at the Gastwerk Hotel Hamburg. Each charging station has a maximum output of 22kW and the usual type2 plug. The four designated parking spaces are located on the right side of the hotel entrance along the hedge and can be used for a daily fee of € 15 per day each. So you can easily charge your car during your stay.

There are also two public charging stations next to the Gastwerk Hotel. Please consider this as information only, as the hotel has no influence on the availability and functionality of the public charging stations.

From Hamburg Airport take the S1 towards Blankenese or Wedel and exit at the train station "Ottensen". Walk from the train station Ottensen (approx. 10 minutes): Leave the station and exit to the left. At the roundabout turn into Bahrenfelder Steindamm. After about 650 m, turn left onto Beim Alten Gaswerk (Gastwerk Hotel Hamburg flags visible) and you will find the Gastwerk Hotel Hamburg after approx. 90 m on the left-hand side.

Also take the S1, see above. Alternatively, take the S2 or S5 towards Hamburg Altona station to "Holstenstraße"; from here take the bus line 3 towards “Trabrennbahn Bahrenfeld” or “Schenefelder Platz”, getting off at the stop "Bornkampsweg". Here, cross the Bahrenfelder Chaussee in the direction of Bahrenfelder Steindamm. The Gastwerk’s Hotel flags will show you the way into the street "Beim Alten Gaswerk".

Take the bus line 2 towards Schenefelder Platz or Schenefeld / Achterndiek to the stop "Bornkampsweg". Here, cross the Bahrenfelder Chaussee in the direction of Bahrenfelder Steindamm. The Gastwerk’s Hotel flags will show you the way into the street "Beim Alten Gaswerk".

Follow the 'Stresemannstraße' until it turns into 'Bahrenfelder Chaussee'. Since you are not allowed to turn left directly from the 'Stresemannstraße' into 'Bahrenfelder Steindamm' you have to drive about 300 metres further until you can turn. Turn left and directly left again into 'Mendelssohnstraße'. Afterwards turn right into 'Bahrenfelder Chaussee'. Follow the street back approx. 250 metres and than turn right into 'Bahrenfelder Steindamm.' You'll see the Gastwerk flags and our parking area on the right-hand side. Welcome!

Take the exit "Bahrenfeld" and follow first the Von-Sauer-Straße towards the city centre, then take the Bahrenfelder Chaussee and turn right into the Bahrenfelder Steindamm. Here, turn right almost immediately into "Beim Alten Gaswerk" (you’ll see the Gastwerk’s flags and our parking area). Welcome!
